I found a love for dance when I was very young and I have been dancing for over 14 years. I
currently attend Adelphi University where I am studying psychology and early childhood education. I have
been teaching dance for 5 years and love the experience of working with children. I thoroughly enjoy watching
my students grow over the year and hope they find a love for dance as I did. I love watching my students
perform on stage and enjoy what they are doing. Outside of teaching I also work with children as a babysitter
and camp counselor. Working with children has always been a part of my life and teaching dance is one way
I continue to do so.
I began my dance training quite some time ago.
Over a period of 16 years I received training in classical ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. I continued to study
dance while attending the Univ. of P.A., where I received my Bachelor’s Degree. After that I received my J.D. at Brooklyn
Law School and went on to pursue my professional career as a litigation attorney. After having my first child in 1999, I
returned to dance which has always been my passion. My children are now students at Mrs. Elaine’s and they are loving
it! I have been teaching dance for the past 10 years. I love being around the young dancers, watching them grow and learn
as it helps keep me feeling young and “on my toes”. I am so very proud of my dear friend Elaine for having fulfilled
her dream and for doing it so well. I am equally proud of the quality of dance education we provide to all our students.
My mother used to bring me
to dance class with her as a child. I would sit in the back of the room with my coloring books and watch as Mrs. Elaine taught
my mother how to tap dance. Who would have thought that this many years later, Mrs. Elaine would have opened up her own studio
where I would be teaching students how to dance just like Mrs. Elaine taught my mom so many years before. I have however traded
in my coloring books as I am currently entering my sophomore year of college at Adelphi University where I am studying Chemistry.
Although a lot has changed since then, I find myself loving dance more and more with each passing year. It is a privilege
to be able to teach your children and it is my hope that they find the same love and passion that I have found for dance all
those years ago. Mrs. Elaines School of Dance is truly a family where we encourage progress and nurture talent. I am truly
lucky to be apart of something as special as this and I look forward to working with you in the future.

When I was seven years old I entered a world that changed my life, dance. Even though I started dancing over
fourteen years ago, it will always be that one thing that will bring a light into my eyes and make all my worries go away.
On top of dance I also have a love for the sciences. I am currently a Biology major at Adelphi University with
aspirations to graduate in December 2013. I then plan to attend graduate school to attain my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I have also been a part of Adelphi’s Dance Team for three years which gave me the pleasure to dance at every home basketball
game, some lacrosse and soccer games, Midnight Madness, dance clinics and many dance competitions. I am so privileged to have
met such a wonderful dance teacher at Mrs. Elaine’s and follow her in her journey of opening up her own studio. I am
thoroughly excited to start teaching for Mrs. Elaine this year and watch all of your children grow as dancers and performers,
and hope they find the same love for dance as I do.
My experience includes:
Decided to follow the love of my life, yoga; bringing it to the
community in Rockaway Park. Classes focus on breathing, focusing, and opening up the heart and body; by going into different
postures in a flow class. I encourage each student to go at their own pace seeking to find good alignment in their postures
using the breath with each movement. Classes are light hearted and fulfilling; bringing students to their full potential in
yoga for 10 years.
